The Hemiptera Section (=Rhynchota)

In this section the following insect orders are curated:

Hemiptera (Hetereoptera, Auchenorhyncha, Sternorrhyncha), Orthoptera (Ensifera, Caelifera), Mantodea, and Phasmatodea.

Altogether the collection contains about 20,000 specimens identified to species level, including 10,000 Heteroptera, 6,500 Auchenorrhyncha, 1,500 Saltatoria, 300 Mantodea, and 200 Phasmatodea.
