ChalcIS-D: Information System on German Chalcidoidea

This website provides taxonomic and nomenclatorial information about German chalcid wasps. Currently 1889 species of Chalcidoidea are recorded from Germany based on published information.

The type catalogue lists all primary types deposited in German insect collections and natural history institutions, currently comprising 778 specimens of 484 species of Chalcidoidea (Insecta, Hymenoptera). For these taxa extended information is provided, including relevant information from the original description, the availability of the specimen, and a photograph of the labels.

The taxonomic information provided here is based on the Universal Chalcidoidea Database by John S. Noyes (The Natural History Museum, London, UK).

The ChalcIS-D project is part of the GBIF -D Initiative supported by the Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung.
